The Challenge

  1. When a Revenue Channel Stops

Great Day Improvements is a leading home improvement company operating multiple brands across the United States with over 4,500 employees. The company's business model relies heavily on outbound dialing to connect with homeowners and drive revenue across its portfolio of brands. This activity was supported through its contact center environment built on RingCentral.

Shortly after the personal connection dialer was deployed, a platform bug within RingCentral's environment caused scripts to fail to complete correctly. Over time, storage filled continuously, and new leads could no longer be loaded into the system. Outbound dialing came to a halt. For Great Day it meant that a core revenue channel was no longer functioning as expected, with impact extending across multiple brands.

  1. Support Models That Don’t Match Business Risk

The organization was operating with a combination of internal resources and ticket-based vendor support. While this model was sufficient for routine requests, it was not designed to handle production-impacting issues tied directly to revenue.

As issues persisted, the challenge became larger than a single defect. There was no consistent mechanism to monitor system health, escalate issues quickly, and maintain performance at the level required by the business. Over time, confidence in the platform declined—not because of what it could do, but because of how difficult it was to operate reliably.

  1. Complexity Across Multiple Brands

At the same time, Great Day Improvements was managing outbound operations across several brands, each with its own workflows and priorities.

Without a consistent approach, dialing practices risked becoming fragmented. The business needed not only to restore functionality, but to establish a more standardized and scalable way to operate outbound engagement across the organization.

Why Great Day Improvements Partnered with Condado

Great Day Improvements initially engaged Condado to implement the dialer. Following go-live, a vendor-side bug within the RingCentral platform surfaced—one that Condado helped identify and escalate to resolution. This effort naturally expanded the engagement beyond the original scope.

What became clear was that resolving the issue alone would not be enough. Great Day needed more than a fix. They needed a support model that could prevent these issues, respond immediately when they occurred, and help the team build confidence in managing the platform strategically.

Condado provided a different approach—combining ongoing support with operational guidance. Instead of relying solely on reactive ticketing, the team introduced a more consistent approach to managing the platform, enabling Great Day Improvements to move from issue response toward controlled, ongoing operation.

Our Approach

Following the initial implementation, Great Day Improvements engaged Condado’s Managed Services to stabilize and support a platform that had become critical to outbound operations. As the engagement progressed, managed services evolved from immediate issue resolution into a more structured approach to operating and optimizing the environment over time.

  • Stabilization and Confidence Building

The immediate priority was restoring outbound dialing functionality. Condado worked to resolve the underlying issue within the RingCentral environment, ensuring scripts executed correctly and leads could once again be processed without disruption.

A more proactive approach to platform oversight was introduced, allowing potential issues to be identified earlier and addressed before impacting production. Direct communication channels reduced reliance on ticket-based support, giving the team faster access to platform expertise when needed.

As stability returned, Condado also worked closely with the internal team to build confidence in day-to-day platform usage, supporting a more sustainable operating model.

  • Multi-Brand Expansion and Standardization

As additional brands were brought onto the platform, operational complexity increased. Each group had its own workflows and priorities, creating the risk of fragmentation over time.

Through its managed services engagement, Condado supported this phase by aligning stakeholders across the organization and introducing a more consistent approach to outbound dialing. This included refining dialing strategies and establishing standardized practices that could be applied across brands.

Over time, this created a more unified model for outbound execution, one that could scale without increasing operational overhead.

  • Scaling Managed Services with Business Needs

As the platform became more central to Great Day Improvements’ operations, Condado’s Managed Services engagement expanded to reflect that importance.

Condado took on a broader role in ongoing optimization, coordination across systems, and alignment between platform capabilities and business priorities. This included supporting adjacent areas such as CRM integration and establishing a more consistent cadence for reviewing performance and identifying improvement opportunities.

The engagement evolved from reactive support to continuous operational alignment, with Condado functioning as an embedded managed services partner across both execution and planning.

The Impact

Great Day Improvements moved from a disrupted and reactive outbound environment to one that could be operated more consistently and with greater confidence.

Outbound dialing was restored, lead execution improved, and processes became more aligned across brands. The internal team gained a clearer understanding of how to use the platform effectively, reducing reliance on reactive troubleshooting.

The result was not just a resolved issue, but a more reliable foundation for a revenue-critical part of the business.

What Makes Condado's Managed Services Different

Listening First, Leading When Needed

“Sometimes the customer is looking for a partner, other times they are looking to be led. Only by listening to the customer's concerns can you truly understand the approach to take. The relationship also evolves over time—listening and staying in tune is critical.”

This philosophy guided every phase of the Great Day engagement. Condado didn't impose a one-size-fits-all playbook. Instead, the team adapted to Great Day's changing needs—from crisis response to standardization to strategic optimization.

Indispensable Asset, Not Just Support

Condado became an extension of Great Day's team, alleviating platform complexities and freeing internal resources to focus on revenue-driving priorities. The relationship transcended traditional vendor dynamics—Condado operated as an embedded partner with shared accountability for outcomes.

Industry Perspective

Great Day Improvements’ experience reflects a broader pattern in contact center operations. Technology alone does not determine outcomes. The way systems are operated, monitored, and continuously improved plays an equally important role.

For organizations evaluating how to better support and evolve their CX environments, this highlights the value of a more structured and continuous approach to platform operations over time.
